On the morning of May 31st, Zhang Zheng, Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Economics and Trade, Jiang Yonghong, Director of the Department of International Economics and Trade, Yang Chaoyu, Employment Commissioner, and two student representatives went to Guangdong Mingfeng Science and Technology Industrial Group Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site visits and research in order to solidly carry out the special action of visiting enterprises and expanding employment opportunities, and steadily promote the employment work of the 2024 graduates of our college.
Guangdong Mingfeng Technology Industrial Group Co., Ltd. is a specialized and innovative enterprise that integrates research and development, production, sales, and service. Through more than 10 years of unremitting efforts, it has continuously developed into an industry pattern based on LED driven power supply, gradually forming a coordinated development of commercial lighting, smart homes, smart portable consumer products, and traditional cultural dissemination. It has four subsidiaries, Guangdong Mingfeng Power Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Mingfeng Intelligent Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Zhongshan Mingyi Intelligent Home Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhongshan Mingde Plastic Mold Co., Ltd., as well as a traditional cultural dissemination public welfare platform.
During the visit and research, Wei Yong, Deputy General Manager of Mingfeng Industrial, accompanied Secretary Zhang and his delegation to visit the office area, laboratory, and production workshop of the marketing department. Afterwards, the two sides went to the conference room to have in-depth discussions and exchanges on the feasibility and cooperation mode of the construction of internship and employment bases. At the symposium, Manager Liang, the human resources manager of Mingfeng Industrial, introduced the company's basic situation, professional fields, high-tech product lines, customer needs, development prospects, and partners. Subsequently, Chairman Hu Jun provided a detailed introduction to the company's development history and talent philosophy. Hu expressed that Mingfeng attaches great importance to employees' career planning. After students enter Mingfeng for internships, the company will conduct enterprise verification based on the interns' personalities and internship performance, and finally assign them to different positions such as technology, production management, and civil service. Hu Dong also shared the cooperation model between Mingfeng and Torch Vocational and Technical College, and expressed his desire to deepen cooperation with Sun Yat sen College of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Finally, Secretary Zhang Zheng fully affirmed the development scale and prospects of Mingfeng, and introduced the development history of Sun Yat sen College and the School of Economics and Trade at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, the school's characteristic majors, and the professional settings of the School of Economics and Trade. He elaborated on the source of students and graduation destinations of the school, and based on the needs proposed by Director Hu, provided a preliminary plan for school enterprise cooperation in the future. Secretary Zhang stated that as an institution for talent cultivation and serving society, schools need the deep participation of enterprises to achieve high-quality development in internship employment, talent cultivation, and other aspects. He hopes that this visit can further deepen cooperation.
At the same time, Wei Yong, the General Manager of the Marketing Department of Mingfeng Industrial, also provided a detailed introduction to the current situation of the foreign trade sector. Guangdong Mingfeng Technology Industrial Group Co., Ltd.'s main markets are in European countries such as Germany. The company now focuses more on three-dimensional localization services to provide customers with better quality services and products. Following that, Director Jiang Yonghong of the International Trade Teaching and Research Office introduced the cultivation of international trade professionals and the professional skills and types of talents of students. Director Jiang stated that the school encourages students to participate in relevant industry exhibitions, wear uniforms, enter enterprises, and have real internships. Mr. Wei acknowledged it and added that language is only a part of foreign trade, and foreign trade personnel also need to understand the culture and business models of the relevant regions. At the end of the meeting, Manager Wei invited students to participate in the recent lighting exhibition, and both parties communicated about its details.
Finally, Secretary Zhang sincerely invites Mingfeng to conduct more job fairs on campus and provide high-quality job opportunities for our graduates. Hu Dong once again expressed the employment needs of the enterprise, hoping to combine the educational resources of the school and the industrial resources of the enterprise to achieve a win-win situation for both parties.
